Really Good
I'm running a small animal shelter and have constantly animals living inside my home as well. Home has lots of carpet and with 9 cats right now there is lot's of hairball vomating with lots of liquid. I tried many things already to clean this mess but the Dirt Devil Portable Extractor is so far the best product for this kind of mess. I have to say that I did not have to use it for removing urine yet so I can't rate that but for puke and stomache liquid this product is amazing. I also found out that you don't necessarily have to use warm or hot water to clean the mess as indicated in the instructions. It cleans very well with cold water which is important when you want the product handy and ready at all times. The water tank of this product needs to be filled with a water soap mix (easy to do and soap comes with first purchase)and you just don't use all the soap and water on all accidents the animals might have and so I tried if I can simply remove the water tank after use (with left over soapy water) and store it next to the Dirt Devil and it works. Even though the Dirt Devil is very easy to handle it is a pain if you have to fill up and mix the soapy water every time you have to use it (which is in my case almost daily) and because I found out that the Dirt Devil cleans my messes on the carpet also with cold soapy water it became as easy to use as a spray bottle. (Keep in mind that I did not try out Urine removal yet, for that kind of mess you might use the warm/hot water mix in the water tank) Also the waste tank is easy to remove and to clean. The only downfall I found so far is that the soaker pipe is leaking water after the use but I solved this problem by simply leaving the strong suction running for maybe two minutes or so after the use and then the leaking stops. If you use my technique and want to re-use the left over clean water you have to remove the water tank from the unit or it will leak as well. But since the Dirt Devil is so EASY to open and so easy with removing all the parts, cleaning it is a brease and is no proplem even if you have to use it daily. Another small flaw is for me that for very small messes the spray nossle sprays to wide and too much water (like for coffee spills on carpet etc.) It would be great if Dirt Devil would event an adjustable spray nossle but even with its small flaws I give this product two thumps up since it made my live with animals soooooo much easier. A cheap quick fix
I wanted a lightweight, compact vacuum to use every evening after dinner on the kitchen floor. Our regular vac was too bulky to pull out for quick jobs, and we didn't have a spot to charge a cordless. I settled on the Featherweight because it was small enough to hang from my mop rack and only cost $20.

This vac is ideal for picking up dust and pet hair on wood or tile floors. However, I've found that with larger, heavier items (such as spilled dog food), the vac often has to be lifted up over the item and placed right down on top of it in order to pick it up; if I just push the vacuum over dog food, it often just pushes the dog food in front of the vacuum head instead of sucking it up. Removing the vac head and using this as a hand vac works much better for picking up dog food and the like.

I've also found that items about the size of a marble (again, spilled dog food) get jammed right behind the plastic shield covering the intake opening of the vac. To remove them I need to jam a stick back there, loosen the item and then pry it out. This is a pain in the neck that I really don't need.

Finally, there's no way to clean the dust off the filter without using your bare hands; this vac really needed just a tiny brush that attached to the unit to make dusting off the filter easier and neater. As it is, after every use I need to pull clumps of dog fur off the filter with my bare fingers - yuck!

I think that once this breaks (as I'm sure it will - it's made of quite junky plastic and doesn't seem all that durable) I'll go out and spend a bit more money on a higher quality stick vac. However, for $20 this little cheapie picks up the messes and doesn't take up too much space.

Boy, does this work; found all dirt,debris on rug, loved it!
Now know why called PowerGlide!hehe,easy to move over rugs. Grt picker upper. Loved the color-red; like having start button near the top(on side)Not loud! Its a lower sound, so it doesnt bother your ears(specially mine)Just got today and used, and got the old dust and bits of tiny paper off a badly worn rug on low setting!..delivery was real fast. Product Nightmare
Oh, how I wish I had checked reviews before I bought this product! Whoever designed this product was apparently a hateful, vengeful person who secretly wants to ruin the day of housewives everywhere. Some of my favorite features of this product are:

When you are cleaning up a disgusting spot of something, this device will randomly spew the dirty water out of the side vents, usually all over your legs as you are crouched over the spot trying to remove it. This happens when the product has a bare tablespoon of dirty water. Would it have been so hard to, I don't know, make the holding tank big enough to hold the dirty water? Or maybe make it where, when slightly full, the dirty water goes ANYWHERE other than on you and your house? Have you ever smelled hot dog urine water that has been steamed out of a vent? That smell will stay in your house for MONTHS, and no amount of spot scrubbing will help.

The scrub brush is pretty much useless, it kind of scrubs the spot, but you have to put so much pressure on the scrubber to make it reach the carpet you end up with a cramp in your wrist. You also can't really get the brush clean, it's in an awkward spot on the device.

You need the strength of a gorilla to pry the plug that keeps the dirty water in the holding tank. (Haha KEEPS it in the tank? What a laugh!) You will have to grab an awkward green tab and yank and pull and curse and...BOOM it pops open and spews that dirty water (what is left of it after the vents steamed it all over you) all over your face.

The price is good, but do you really want to pay money to curse and hate and loath every time your dog makes a piddle on the carpet? This product is poorly designed, I've been using it for 6 months now, and I'm about to throw it in the garbage and buy something else. I won't even give this thing away to someone, there isn't anyone in the world I hate that much.

A waste of money
Even with the battery charger that comes with it, this would not hold a charge after the first 2 months. Horrible, horrible product, don't waste your money. Mine was about $50 when I bought it a year ago... junk.
